- Couple forced to give up newborn twins after wrong embryos implanted in IVF mix-up, lawsuit claims - Story | KTVU — A New York couple who gave birth to twins in March after traveling to Los Angeles to undergo in vitro fertilization has filed a lawsuit against the clinic claiming that a mix-up resulted in them giving birth to another couple’s children, which they then had to give up.
- Amazon pulls books by authors who once identified as gay, lesbian - The Christian Post — Following the removal of books by a Catholic psychologist amid LGBT activist pressure, Amazon has removed the works of other authors who once lived and identified as gay. The works of Anne Paulk of the Restored Hope Network and pastoral counselor and author Joe Dallas are among the latest books to be pulled from the online retail giant.
- Republican Senators Introduce a Bill Allowing Victims of Illegal Alien Crime to Sue Over Sanctuary City Policies — Republican Senators Chuck Grassley, Thom Tillis, Lindsey Graham, Joni Ernst and Marsha Blackburn have all signed onto a bill that gives compensation to victims of illegal alien crimes as a result of sanctuary city policies. Further, it blocks some grant funding. "The legislation creates a private right of civil action for the victims of sanctuary jurisdictions, allowing them to bring an action for compensatory damages against the sanctuary jurisdiction as a result of a violent crime committed by an illegal immigrant," Grassley's office says. "Any sanctuary city or jurisdiction that refuses to waive its immunity as is relates to sanctuary-related civil action would be subject to the withholding of certain Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding."
