So a 25-year-old mom had stopped her car and hopped out, outside a pizza joint. She had three young ones in the car. Then this thief, who police identified as Eric Hood, a 54-year-old scumbag, jumped in and took off with the car. That’s with the kids still in it. Three of them, aged 7 months to 5 years.
• Black Homeownership Drops to All-Time Low - SFGate — While Hispanic homeownership rate is on the rise, the black homeownership rate has fallen 8.6 percentage points since its peak in 2004, hitting an all-time low in the first quarter of this year, according to census data. This divergence marks the first time in more than two decades that Hispanics and blacks, the two largest racial minorities in the U.S., are no longer following the same path when it comes to owning homes.
• A healthy lifestyle may offset genetic risk for Alzheimer's | Deseret News — People with high genetic risk and poor health habits were about three times more likely to develop dementia versus those with low genetic risk and good habits, researchers reported Sunday. Regardless of how much genetic risk someone had, a good diet, adequate exercise, limiting alcohol and not smoking made dementia less likely.
• Facebook’s Recent Algorithm Changes Are Laying Waste To Conservative And Liberal Outlets | The Daily Caller — Conservative pundit Deneen Borelli is blaming Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg after she lost her commentary gig at the BlazeTV.  Borelli’s cancelled Facebook show comes shortly after the company dramatically changed its algorithms to de-emphasize political content.  Facebook’s changes are appear to be affecting smaller outlets and individual pundits at a greater rate than larger media entities like Fox News or NBC, according to one tech expert.

Don’t run off (forgiveness is one of those subjects that send people running to the hills)! Mention forgiving others who have wronged you and you'll hear "it's too hard, I can't forgive them... " Well, we only feel that way because we approach forgiveness as something that we must do on our own in our own strength.

Instead, see forgiveness as a heart matter. Instead of calling it “hard, difficult, impossible” look at it with fresh eyes. It's a problem that you can give to God. If you CHOOSE to forgive, and pray over the matter, leaving it with him, God is ready and willing to do this FOR us.

She specifically pointed to the example of the House-passed Democratic border bill in late June, which the group opposed.
• Pelosi Tells Deportable Aliens They Can Refuse to Open Their Doors to ICE Agents — (CNSNews.com) - Reacting to reports that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will launch immigration raids this coming Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) told a news conference today that the raids would be "heartless" and advised deportable aliens that they did not need to open their doors to ICE agents. "Families belong together. Every person in America has rights," she said. "These families are hard-working members of our communities and our country. This brutal action will terrorize children and tear families apart."
• Girl licks tongue depressor, puts it back at medical center — A social media post that shows a young girl inside in a Jacksonville medical center licking a tongue depressor and then placing it back into a jar has gone viral. The video was recorded in an exam room at the All About Kids and Families Medical Center. The medical office told News4Jax it's troubled by the video. A statement from the office said it has contacted police to request a full investigation.
