*Guest Bio: *
Andrea Gallagher is the President of the Pipehitter Foundation and an ardent supporter of police officers. She is sharing the story of Officer Ben Darby who is serving a 25 year prison sentence, while appealing his conviction.
Ben Darby was sent to prison last year, after going to trial to clear his name, only to have a politically motivated judge and prosecutor tilt the scales of justice against him in the wake of the Defund the Police riots sweeping the country.
Keelin Darby is his wife and an officer herself, has been working tirelessly to get Ben's story out there, while pursuing legal appeals for a new and FAIR trial. She is supported by the Pipe Hitter Foundation, founded by Eddie and Andrea Gallagher to help first responders and military members who face legal and social issues due to woke / cancel culture.

- Ben Darby — Ben was a well-trained Huntsville police officer who was forced to make a difficult split-second decision while responding to a dangerous 911 call. The situation was cleared by the Incident Review Board, and Ben’s actions were deemed justified. It was determined that he followed all applicable policies and laws. However, soon after Ben was cleared, the Madison County District Attorney began to use him and his case as a political football. They offered him multiple plea deals, but Ben Darby firmly believed his actions were justified and resisted all pleas. Ben was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He is not eligible for an appeal bond due to the excessive sentence he was given. He is stuck serving day-for-day until his appeal comes through.
